Commom Sence Parenting - Think About It!

Flash mobs - Where are the parents of these children?  Where were they when it was time to teach right and wrong?  If your 12 year old child comes home with a flat screen TV would it not occur to you to ask about it?  Maybe the parents of these children should be held accountable.  I know my kids got away with things they should not have, that's part of the growing up process.  However, I also know that they had a certain fear of their Dad and I finding out and that is the way it should be.  When Bill and I were in the process of adopting we had to do extensive surveys and interviews.  Bill was red flagged because he was not willing to negotiate or compromise on some issues.  When they questioned him about this he said when I am in the Walmart parking lot and I tell my kid to stop they are going to do it because they know they have to.  So...my kid is going to be safer than the kid who thinks ever issue can be negotiated and compromised on. 
Final thought - Parents, if you don't make your kids mind at home please don't take them in to  public and expect them to behave, it is not fair to them!  Children are a precious gift and it is the parents responsibility to keep them safe.  You must be their parent first and then their friend!
